2 UVODNIK Spoštovani bralci, dragi ljubitelji poštnih znamk, po poletnem predahu smo spet z vami in tudi tokrat vam predstavljamo zanimivosti iz sveta slovenskih poštnih znamk. Najprej vas želim spomniti, da smo 8. julija izdali dve priložnostni znamki (Euromed Postal ter Evropsko prvenstvo v odbojki) ter eno razglednično dopisnico (Filatelistična razstava DevetoOkno), ki jih podrobneje predstavljamo v nadaljevanju Biltena. V tej izdaji Biltena pa seveda predstavljamo tudi septembrski izid poštnih znamk in dveh razgledničnih dopisnic. Letos lahko tudi prvič izbirate najlepšo znamko serije»euromed Postal«, podrobnosti o možnostih glasovanja boste našli v nadaljevanju. Želim vam veliko veselja ob slovenskih poštnih znamkah! Mag. First of all we would like to remind you that on 8 July we issued two special stamps (EuroMed Postal and the European Volleyball Championship) and one picture postcard (the philatelic exhibition DevetoOkno), which we present in detail in this issue of the Bulletin. In this issue of course we also present the September issue of postage stamps and two picture postcards. This year, for the first time you can also select the nicest stamp in the Euromed Postal series, and below you can find details about how to vote. 3 ŠPORT / SPORTS / SPORT Evropsko prvenstvo v odbojki za moške Slovenija bo skupaj s Francijo, Belgijo in Nizozemsko septembra gostila odbojkarski spektakel, zgodovinsko evropsko prvenstvo v odbojki za moške. V boj za evropski prestol se bo namreč prvič doslej podalo kar 24 držav udeleženk in prvič bomo evropsko prvenstvo lahko hkrati spremljali v štirih državah gostiteljicah. V Ljubljani, ki bo poleg Montpelliera, Nantesa, Toulousa in Pariza (Francija), Antwerpna in Bruslja (Belgija) ter Amsterdama, Apeldoorna in Rotterdama (Nizozemska) eno od desetih prizorišč prvenstva, bomo gostili tako skupinski del tekmovanja kot izločilne boje, vključno s polfinalom. Le tekmi za bronasto odličje in veliki finale bo gostila francoska prestolnica. Domovanje slovenskih odbojkarjev, ki so nas leta 2015 razveselili z naslovom evropskih podprvakov, bo ljubljanska Arena Stožice, v njej pa bodo gostovale še reprezentance Finske, Belorusije, Turčije in Severne Makedonije, k nam pa prihajajo tudi aktualni evropski prvaki Rusi, sicer ena najboljših reprezentanc sveta. Naši srebrni fantje se bodo slovenskim ljubiteljem športa predstavili med 12. in 29. septembrom. For the first time, a full 24 countries will vie for the European crown, and for the first time too the European Championship can be followed in four host countries. Ljubljana, which alongside Montpellier, Nantes, Toulouse and Paris (France), Antwerp and Brussels (Belgium) and Amsterdam, Apeldoorn and Rotterdam (Netherlands) will be one of ten venues for the championship, will host both a group part and a knockout part of the competition, along with a semi-final. The third-place match and the championship final will be held in the French capital. The home venue for Slovenia s volleyball team, who delighted us in 2015 by finishing as European runners up, will be the Arena Stožice in Ljubljana, which will host the teams from Finland, Belarus, Turkey and North Macedonia, while the current European champions, Russia, one of the best teams in the world, will also be coming to Slovenia. Slovenia s silver medal men will be showing their skills to the country s sports fans from 12 to 29 September. Volleyball Federation of Slovenia Volleyball- Europameisterschaft der Männer Gemeinsam mit Frankreich, Belgien und den Niederlanden ist Slowenien im September der Austragungsort des Volleyballspektakels, der historischen Volleyball-Europameisterschaft der Männer. Im Kampf um Europas Thron werden zum ersten Mal 24 Länder teilnehmen und die EM wird in vier Ländern zugleich ausgetragen. In Ljubljana, das neben Montpellier, Nantes, Toulouse und Paris (Frankreich), Antwerpen und Brüssel (Belgien) sowie Amsterdam, Apeldoorn und Rotterdam (Niederlande) einer von zehn Austragungsorten der EM sein wird, finden die Gruppen- und Ausscheidungsspiele, einschließlich Halbfinale, statt. Nur das Spiel um die Bronzemedaille und das große Finale werden in der französischen Hauptstadt ausgetragen. Die Heimspiele der slowenischen Volleyballer, die uns 2015 mit dem Titel Vizeeuropameister eine große Freude bereitet haben, finden in der Arena Stožice in Ljubljana statt. Dort werden noch die Nationalmannschaften von Finnland, Weißrussland, der Türkei und von Nordmazedonien auftreten. Nach Ljubljana kommen auch die aktuellen Europameister, die Russen, eine der besten Nationalmannschaften der Welt. Slovenijo tukaj predstavlja celotni primorski svet, tudi s tistimi predeli v sosednji Italiji, kjer je živelo in živi slovensko prebivalstvo. Upodobitve noš ali oblačilnega videza je z akvareli zelo dosledno dokumentiral slovenski slikar Saša Šantel ( ) v tridesetih letih prejšnjega stoletja. Zato sta na znamki moški in ženska v značilnem mandrjarskem ali mandrijerskem oblačilnem videzu Slovencev iz okolice Trsta. Upodobitev moškega je iz Barkovelj, ženske pa iz Škednja. Obe zelo dobro prikazujeta oblačilni videz, kakršen je dokumentiran že tudi za drugo polovico 19. stoletja. Pri moškem izstopajo značilne krajše hlače, ki so jih imenovali brente ali barješe. Kratkost hlač je bila tako rekoč obveznost oblačilnega videza, saj je veljalo pravilo, da je za dekle sramotno, če se druži z moškim, ki nosi dolge hlače. Posebnosti moškega oblačilnega videza je bilo še več, npr. značilne modre nogavice ali kocjete, za zimo in praznične priložnosti kučme ali frkindeži, izdelani iz vidrinega krzna, nizki odprti čevlji ali šulni in druge posebnosti. Ženske ali mandriere so nosile kratke rokavce (opleča), krilo je imelo životec ali fanelco. Ta je bil pri dekletih iz svetlejše, pri ženah pa iz temnejše tkanine, pri slednjih pogostokrat črne ali vijolične barve in okrašen s cvetličnimi vzorci. Barva krila se je razlikovala od barve predpasnika, prek katerega so si ženske na levi strani zavezovale širok enobarven ali pisan trak. Naglavna peča je bila bogato vezena in obrobljena s čipkami, čez ramena in hrbet pa so nosile manjše rute ali ovratnike. Upodobljeni oblačilni videz moškega in ženske odraža vplive mediteranske barvitosti in s tem slikovitosti. 6 Prof. dr. 5 Picturesqueness even in the style of dress Costumes of the Mediterranean is the common theme chosen by the postal operators of the Postal Union for the Mediterranean (Euromed Postal) for this year s stamp. Slovenia is represented on this occasion by the country s coastal and maritime region in its entirety, including those parts of neighbouring Italy that were and still are traditionally home to a Slovene population. The region s costumes or modes of dress were painstakingly documented in watercolours by the Slovene painter Saša Šantel ( ) in the 1930s. The stamp features his portrayals of a man and a woman in the typical costumes of the mandrieri the members of the Slovene farming and herding community living in the environs of the city of Trieste. The man is shown in the costume of Barcola (Barkovlje in Slovene), while the woman wears the costume of Servola (Škedenj in Slovene). Both are very good examples of a mode of dress that has already been documented for the second half of the nineteenth century. The man s costume is notable for the characteristic breeches (brente or barješe). The shortness of this garment was a more or less obligatory part of the costume, since it was considered shameful for a young woman to associate with a man wearing long trousers. Other characteristic features of the man s costume included blue stockings known as kocjete, an otter fur hat or frkindež for the winter and important holidays, and low open shoes known as šulni. Women (mandriere) wore a short sleeved blouse or opleča and a skirt with a bodice or fanelca. The bodices of young, unmarried women were lighter in colour, while those of married women were made of darker fabric, often black or purple, and decorated with floral patterns. The colour of the skirt differed from the colour of the apron, over which women wore a broad sash of either a single colour or several colours, tied on the left-hand side. The headscarf was richly embroidered and bordered with lace. Small scarfs or collars (ovratniki) were worn over the shoulders and back. The male and female costumes depicted here reflect colourful Mediterranean influences that add to their picturesque appearance. Janez Bogataj Malerische Kleidungsstile Die Trachten des Mittelmeers sind die diesmalige gemeinsame Thematik der Briefmarken, die von den Postunternehmen im Rahmen des Projekts Euromed Postal ausgegeben werden. Slowenien ist diesmal mit der gesamten Küstenregion vertreten, auch mit jenen Gebieten im benachbarten Italien, wo die slowenische Bevölkerung einst lebte und noch heute lebt. Die Darstellungen von Trachten oder Kleiderordnungen wurden vom slowenischen Maler Saša Šantel ( ) in seinen Aquarellen in den 1930er Jahren sehr präzise dokumentiert. Auf der Briefmarke sind daher ein Mann und eine Frau in der typischen Mandrieren-Tracht der slowenischen Bauern und Hirten aus der Umgebung von Triest dargestellt. Der Mann ist in einer Tracht aus dem Ort Barcola (slow. Barkovlje) und die Frau in einer Tracht aus Servola (Škedenj) abgebildet. Beide Darstellungen zeigen auf sehr anschauliche Weise die Kleiderordnung, die auch schon in der zweiten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts dokumentiert wurde. Beim Mann stehen die Kniehosen (brente oder barješe) im Vordergrund. Die kurze Hosenlänge war sozusagen ein Pflichtelement der Kleidung, da es für eine junge Frau eine Schande war, wenn sie mit einem Mann verkehrte, der lange Hosen trug. Die männliche Tracht hatte noch mehr Besonderheiten, wie beispielsweise die typischen blauen Kniestrümpfe (kocjete), die Pelzmütze aus Otterfell für den Winter und zu festlichen Anlässen (frkindeži), die niedrigen offenen Schuhe (šulni) und noch vieles mehr. Die Frauen (Mandrieren) trugen Blusen mit kurzen Ärmeln (opleča) und einen Rock mit Mieder (fanelca). Dieses war bei den jungen, unverheirateten Frauen aus hellerem und bei den älteren, verheirateten Frauen aus dunklerem Stoff, oft schwarz oder violett, und mit Blütenmuster verziert. Die Farbe des Rocks unterschied sich von der Farbe der Schürze, über die die Frauen oft eine einfarbige oder bunte Schärpe mit einer Schleife auf der linken Seite banden. Die Haube war reich bestickt mit einem Spitzenrand. Über die Schultern und den Rücken trugen sie oft kleinere Halstücher oder Kragentücher (ovratniki). In der dargestellten Männer- und Frauentracht sind die Einflüsse der mediterranen Farbenpracht und Malerhaftigkeit zu sehen. Gre za skupno izdajo poštnih operaterjev, ki so člani združenja Euromed Postal. Naj spomnimo, da so leta 2014, ko je izšla prva znamka te serije, vsi operaterji izdali znamko z enakim, skupnim motivom. Od leta 2015 je razpisana le skupna tematika znamk, motivi znamk posameznih operaterjev pa so različni. Tema letošnjih znamk Euromed Postal so noše Sredozemlja in na slovenski znamki predstavljamo noši iz Barkovelj in Škednja. Letos je prvič odprto tekmovanje za najlepšo znamko te serije, zato vas vabimo, da na povezavi glasujete za slovensko znamko. Juli 2019 erschien die Euromed Postal Sondermarke. Es handelt sich um die gemeinsame Ausgabe von Postunternehmen, die Mitglieder der Vereinigung Euromed Postal sind. Im Jahr 2014, als die erste Briefmarke der Reihe erschien, gaben alle Postunternehmen eine Briefmarke mit dem gleichen, gemeinsamen Motiv heraus. Ab 2015 sind nur gemeinsame Briefmarkenthemen ausgeschrieben, während sich die Motive der einzelnen Postunternehmen unterscheiden. Das diesjährige Thema der Euromed Postal Sondermarke sind die Trachten des Mittelmeeres. Auf der slowenischen Briefmarke sind die Trachten aus Barcola (Barkovlje) und Servola (Škedenj) dargestellt. In diesem Jahr gibt es auch einen offenen Wettbewerb, bei dem die schönste Briefmarke der Reihe gewählt wird. 6 FILATELISTIČNA RAZSTAVA / PHILATELIC EXHIBITION / PHILATELISTISCHE AUSSTELLUNG DevetoOkno Kranj 2019 Specializirana, bienalna, enovitrinska razstava EnoOkno, ki smo jo prvič postavili v Gorenjskem muzeju jeseni 2003, bo letos že devetič odprla svoja vrata, tokrat v zelo razširjenem obsegu. Razstava, katere prvotni namen je bil promovirati takrat začasni tekmovalni razred zbirk v eni vitrini, je skozi leta podoživljala ves razvoj te oblike razstavljanja od eksperimenta, prilagajanja pravil in ocenjevanja do uveljavitve kot standardni sestavni del vseh razstav. Zbirke se ocenjuje po enakih pravilih, ki veljajo za tekmovalne razrede, v katere zbirka spada razrede tradicionalne filatelije, poštne zgodovine, poštnih celin, aerofilatelije, tematske filatelije, fiskalnega razreda, maksimafilije ali razglednic. Letošnja novost pa je, da je DevetoOkno odprlo vrata razstavljavcem iz vse Evrope (do zdaj smo namreč vabili le dežele alpske skupnosti Alpe-Jadran in nekdanje skupne države). V dogovoru s soorganizatorjem, Gorenjskim muzejem iz Kranja, smo namenili razstavi dvojno površino in število razstavnih vitrin. Želja je, da postane ta razstava vseevropska specializirana razstava enovitrinskih eksponatov. Eden od dveh pobudnikov te razstave je bil lani preminuli slovenski filatelist, raziskovalec in publicist Mihael I. Fock, kateremu je letošnja razstava posvečena. The exhibition, which was originally intended to promote what was then a temporary competition class of collections in a single frame, has over the years undergone the full development of this form of exhibition from experiment, adjustment of the rules and assessment to establishment as a standard component part of all exhibitions. The collections are judged under the same rules that apply to the competitive classes within which the collection belongs the classes of traditional philately, postal history, postal stationery, aerophilately, thematic philately, the fiscal class, maximaphily or postcards. The new feature this year is that DevetoOkno has opened its door to exhibitors from all over Europe (previously we had only invited countries of the Alps- Adriatic community and of the former Yugoslavia). In agreement with the co-organiser, the Museum of Gorenjska in Kranj, we doubled both the space for the exhibition and the number of exhibition frames. The wish is for this exhibition to become a Europe-wide specialised exhibition of one-frame exhibits. One of the two initiators of this exhibition was the Slovenian philatelist, researcher and writer Mihael I. Fock, who passed away last year and to whom this year s exhibition is dedicated. Igor Pirc Marko Prah, 2019 SLOVENIJA B DevetoOkno Kranj 2019 Die spezialisierte Einrahmen- Ausstellung EnoOkno, die 2003 erstmals im Regionalmuseum von Gorenjska stattfand, öffnet in diesem Jahr schon zum neunten Mal ihre Tore, diesmal in stark erweitertem Umfang. Die Ausstellung, deren ursprüngliche Absicht es war, die damalige zeitweilige Wettbewerbsklasse von Sammlungen in einer Ausstellungsvitrine zu fördern, konnte durch die Jahre hindurch die gesamte Entwicklung dieser Ausstellungsform nacherleben vom Experiment, der Anpassung der Richtlinien und der Bewertung bis hin zur Durchsetzung als Standardbestandteil aller Ausstellungen. Die Sammlungen werden nach denselben Richtlinien bewertet, die für die Bewertung der jeweiligen Wettbewerbsklassen gelten, zu denen die Sammlung gehört traditionelle Philatelie, Postgeschichte, Postkontinente, Aerophilatelie, thematische Philatelie, Fiskalphilatelie, Maximaphilie und Postkarten. Die diesjährige Neuheit ist, dass die Ausstellung DevetoOkno ihre Tore für Aussteller aus ganz Europa geöffnet hat (bisher nahmen nur Länder der Alpengemeinschaft Alpen-Adria und Länder Ex-Jugoslawiens an der Ausstellung teil). Nach Vereinbarung mit dem Mitveranstalter, dem Regionalmuseum von Gorenjska in Kranj, stehen für die Ausstellung die doppelte Ausstellungsfläche und Anzahl von Ausstellungsvitrinen zur Verfügung. Es ist unser Wunsch, dass diese Ausstellung eine ganzeuropäische spezialisierte Ausstellung von Einrahmen-Exponaten wird. 7 Robert Žvokelj, dak OBLETNICE / ANNIVERSARIES / JAHRESTAGE 150. obletnica rojstva Mahatme Gandhija Nekoč je k Mahatmi Gandiju prišla mama s sinom, ker je želela, da njenega sina prepriča, da preneha jesti sladkarije. Gandhi je za trenutek razmislil in ji dejal, naj pride čez mesec dni. Mati je odšla domov in se po preteku omenjenega obdobja še enkrat vrnila h Gandhiju. Tokrat je sin dobil kratko lekcijo o nezdravosti sladkarij in se odločil, da preneha s svojo razvado. Mama je bila zadovoljna, hkrati pa jo je zanimalo, zakaj Gandhi tega sinu ni mogel povedati že pred enim mesecem. Gandhi ji je odgovoril, da mu ni mogel tega povedati, ker je takrat še sam jedel sladkarije. Ta manj znana izmed številnih anekdot kaže, kako je Gandhi učil samo tisto, kar je uresničil sam. Njegova misel: Bodi sprememba, ki jo želiš videti v svetu, je zanj daleč od gole teorije. Gandhi sam je bil utelešenje nenasilja in ljubezni do vseh ljudi, vseh živih bitij in narave, njegovo odrekanje pa izraz svobode, ki jo je nosil v sebi. Bil je iskalec resnice, tako tiste trenutne, kot jo razume sodobni človek, kot tiste najvišje, večne resnice, ki jo izpostavljajo davne Vede: Vishva prani, mere atma he (vsako živo bitje je del moje duše). To je osnova etike, na kateri je utemeljena njegova privrženost nenasilju. Že kot pravnik je našel drugo pot reševanja sporov, kjer ena stranka ni premagala in ponižala druge, temveč sta obe zadržali svoj ponos in razrešili konflikt. Princip nenasilja je kasneje prenesel na reševanje mnogo večjega in hujšega konflikta med Indijo in Britanskim imperijem. Razreševanje tega konflikta je svet spremljal trideset let, zmaga nenasilja pa je bila precedens in navdih za mnoga gibanja, ki so svet spremenila na bolje. Gandhijevo delo, njegovo brezčasno sporočilo in njegova podoba si zaslužijo posebno mesto v zgodovini. Pri Gandhiju ne gre za preteklost, v raziskovanju njegove modrosti je ključ za večino težav sodobnega sveta. Gandhi thought for a moment and told her to bring the boy back in a month. The mother went home and, a month later, returned to Gandhi. This time the boy received a brief lesson on how unhealthy sugar was, and decided to quit the habit. His mother was pleased, but at the same time wondered why Gandhi couldn t have told her son that a month ago. Gandhi replied that he couldn t tell him then because at that time he was still eating sugar himself. Though less well known than many anecdotes about Gandhi, this little story shows how the Mahatma only taught things that he himself had put into practice. His saying Be the change you wish to see in the world was far more than just a theory for him. Gandhi himself was the embodiment of non-violence and love for all people, all living creatures and nature, and his self-denial was an expression of the freedom he carried within himself. He was a seeker of truth. Both current truth, as understood by modern human beings, and that highest, eternal truth set out in the ancient Vedic scriptures: Vishva prani, mere atma he (Every living being is part of my soul). This is the basis of the ethics on which Gandhi s commitment to non-violence is founded. Even as a lawyer, he found a different way to resolve disputes that did not involve one party defeating and humiliating the other, but instead allowed both to keep their pride and settle the conflict to their mutual satisfaction. He later applied the principle of non-violence to the much greater and more serious conflict between India and the British Empire. The world followed the resolution of this conflict for 30 years. The eventual victory of non-violence set a precedent and served as an inspiration to many movements that have changed the world for the better. Gandhi s work, his timeless message and his image have earned themselves a special place in history. Gandhi is not a figure from the past: researching his wisdom is the key to many of the problems of the modern world. It is therefore right that we should mark the 150th anniversary of his birth in an appropriate manner, just as Pošta Slovenije has done by issuing this stamp. Thank you Pošta. Jure Pogačnik President of the Indian Slovene Friendship Association Pošta 23/ Geburtstag von Mahatma Gandhi Einst kam eine Mutter mit ihrem Sohn zu Mahatma Gandhi mit dem Wunsch, er möge ihren Sohn davon überzeugen, keine Süßigkeiten mehr zu essen. Gandhi dachte einen Moment lang nach und sagte, sie solle in einem Monat wiederkommen. Die Mutter ging nach Hause und kam nach Ablauf eines Monats erneut zu Gandhi. Diesmal bekam der Sohn eine kurze Lektion darüber, wie ungesund Süßigkeiten seien, und er entschied sich, mit diesem Laster aufzuhören. Die Mutter war zufrieden, wollte jedoch auch wissen, warum Gandhi ihrem Sohn diese Lektion nicht schon vor einem Monat erteilen konnte. Gandhi antwortete ihr, dass er ihm dies nicht sagen konnte, weil er damals selbst noch Süßigkeiten gegessen hatte. Diese weniger bekannte von seinen zahlreichen Anekdoten zeigt, dass Gandhi nur jene Weisheiten lehrte, die er selbst auch praktizierte. Sein Motto Sei du selbst die Veränderung, die du dir wünschst für diese Welt war für ihn mehr als nur reine Theorie. Gandhi war die Verkörperung von Gewaltlosigkeit und Liebe zu allen Menschen, allen Lebewesen und zur Natur. Seine Askese war ein Ausdruck von Freiheit, die er in sich selbst trug. Er war ein Wahrheitssuchender und auf der Suche nach der augenblicklichen Wahrheit, die der moderne Mensch versteht, als auch nach einer höheren Wahrheit, der ewigen Wahrheit, die in den alten Veden vorkommt: Vishva prani, mere atma he (alle Lebewesen sind Teil meiner Seele). Dies war die Grundlage für die Ethik, auf der sein Engagement für Gewaltlosigkeit basierte. Bereits als Rechtsanwalt fand er alternative Wege zur Streitbeilegung, bei denen die eine Partei die andere nicht besiegte und demütigte, sondern beide Parteien ihren Stolz bewahren und den Konflikt lösen konnten. Das Prinzip der Gewaltlosigkeit übertrug er später auf die Lösung des viel größeren und schlimmeren Konflikts zwischen Indien und dem British Empire. Bei der Lösung dieses Konflikts konnte die Welt dreißig Jahre lang zusehen. Der Sieg der Gewaltlosigkeit war ein Präzedenzfall und Inspiration für viele Bewegungen, welche die Welt zum Besseren verändert haben. Das Werk Gandhis, seine zeitlose Botschaft und seine Persönlichkeit verdienen einen ganz besonderen Stellenwert in der Geschichte. Bei Gandhi geht es nicht um die Vergangenheit, das Ergründen seiner Weisheit ist der Schlüssel für die meisten Probleme in der modernen Welt. Daher ist es richtig, seinen 150. 8 KRAJINSKI PARK LOGARSKA DOLINA / LOGAR VALLEY NATURE PARK / LANDSCHAFTSPARK LOGAR-TAL Krajinski park Logarska dolina Krajinski park Logarska dolina je slikovita alpska oaza, obdana z vencem dvatisočakov vzhodnega dela Kamniško-Savinjskih Alp in Južnih Karavank. Dolina, ki je tektonskega nastanka, dokončno pa so jo oblikovali ledeniki, meri v dolžino 9 km, v najširšem delu pa se razširi do 500 m. Dolino so že pred stoletji prepoznali kot eno najlepših ledeniških dolin celotnega alpskega prostora. Domačini so se zavedali prednosti in vrednosti številnih ohranjenih naravnih in kulturnih znamenitosti, zato je bila dolina leta 1987 razglašena za krajinski park ter naravno vrednoto državnega pomena. Svoj pečat so prostoru vtisnile velike, samooskrbne kmetije, ki so skozi stoletja soustvarjale podobo kulturne krajine. Za zeleno kuliso gozda izvira pod gorsko krnico Okrešelj reka Savinja. Komaj se reka rodi, že zbrzi po 90 m visokem, strmem skalnatem žlebu in se kot slap, imenovan Rinka, vrže v strahovit prepad ter kmalu zatem ponikne. Njen drugi izvir je pri kmetiji Logar, imenuje se Črna. Skupaj s pritoki, ki se na njeni poti zlivajo vanjo, tvori najdaljšo reko, ki v celoti teče po slovenskem ozemlju. Uživanje v lepoti narave je osrednje, nepozabno doživetje. Razgiban hribovit in gorski svet nas sama po sebi nagovarja, da ob aktivnem gibanju začutimo svoj notranji glas, ki nas nagovarja, da smo tudi sami del narave. Za destinacijo krajinskega parka Logarska dolina je značilna gastronomija celotnega Solčavskega. Na stičišču med Gorenjsko, Koroško in Štajersko je značilen preplet gastronomskega vpliva vseh treh pokrajin ter celotnega alpskega prostora. Kmetije na območju parka pridelano hrano porabijo za samooskrbo in turistično potrošnjo. The valley, which is tectonic in origin, and ultimately shaped by glaciers, measures 9 km in length, and extends to 500 m in its widest part. Centuries ago the valley was recognised as one of the most beautiful glacial valleys of the entire Alps. The local people were aware of the advantages and value of the numerous preserved natural and cultural features, so in 1987 the valley was proclaimed a nature park and a natural asset of national importance. Largescale, self-sufficient farms, which over the centuries have helped shape the image of the landscape, have left their mark on this area. From a green backdrop below the prominence of Mt Okrešelj rises the River Savinja. The river has barely been born before it rushes down a 90 m steep rocky gully, and then as a waterfall called Rinka plunges into a breathtaking abyss, where soon after it disappears. Its second source is at the Logar farm called Črna. Together with its tributaries, which flow into it along its way, it makes up the longest river that flows in its entirety within Slovenian territory. Enjoying the beauty of nature is a central, unforgettable experience. The varied hilly and mountainous landscape in itself calls on us to sense our inner voice through active movement, a voice telling us we are also part of nature. A distinctive feature of the Logar Valley Nature Park destination is the cuisine of the entire Solčava area. At the meeting point of the Gorenjska, Koroška and Štajerska regions, it forms a characteristic interplay of the gastronomic influences of all three regions and of the entire Alpine area. Farms in the area of the park use the food they produce to supply their own needs and for tourist consumption. Rinka Centre and the Municipality of Solčava Landschaftspark Logar-Tal Der Landschaftspark Logar-Tal ist eine malerische Alpenoase von Gipfeln der Zweitausender des Ostteils der Steiner Alpen und der Südkarawanken umgeben. Das Tal ist tektonischen Ursprungs und wurde abschließend von Gletschern geformt. Es ist 9 km lang und in seinem breitesten Teil bis zu 500 m breit. Bereits vor Jahrhunderten war es als eines der schönsten Gletschertäler des gesamten Alpenraums bekannt. Die Bewohner waren sich der Vorteile und des Wertes der zahlreichen erhaltenen Natur- und Kultursehenswürdigkeiten bewusst, daher wurde das Tal im Jahr 1987 zum Landschaftspark und zum Naturgut von nationaler Bedeutung erklärt. Den Raum prägten die großen, selbstversorgenden Bauernhöfe, die das Erscheinungsbild der Kulturlandschaft durch die Jahrhunderte hindurch mitgestalteten. Hinter der grünen Kulisse des Waldes entspringt am Fuße des Kars Okrešelj der Fluss Savinja. Gleich unter der Quelle fließt der Fluss schnell durch die 90 m hohe, steile Felsrinne und fällt dann als Wasserfall Rinka in den schrecklich tiefen Abgrund, um dann anschließend zu versickern. Die zweite Quelle der Savinja befindet sich beim Bauernhof Logar und heißt Črna. Zusammen mit den Nebenflüssen, die entlang des Flusslaufs in den Fluss fließen, wird die Savinja zum längsten Fluss, der in Gänze auf slowenischem Gebiet fließt. Das Genießen der Naturschönheiten ist in dieser Region das Wichtigste und ein unvergessliches Erlebnis. Die dynamische Hügel- und Bergwelt motiviert ganz von selbst, um bei aktiver Bewegung auf unsere innere Stimme zu hören, die uns darauf aufmerksam macht, dass auch wir selbst ein Teil der Natur sind. Für die Region des Landschaftsparks Logar- Tal sind die kulinarischen Spezialitäten der Solčava-Region t y p i s c h. A m Knotenpunkt der Regionen Gorenjska, Koroška und Štajerska ist eine Verknüpfung der gastronomischen Einflüsse aller drei Regionen und des gesamten Alpenraums kennzeichnend. 13 POŠTA 25/ LET SNG MARIBOR / 100 YEARS OF THE SLOVENIAN NATIONAL THEATRE MARIBOR / 100 JAHRE SNG MARIBOR 100 let Slovenskega narodnega gledališča v Mariboru Izid poštne znamke ob 100-letnici SNG Maribor je sestavni del celoletnega obeleževanja visokega jubileja največje kulturno-umetniške institucije v Mariboru in Sloveniji. Slovensko narodno gledališče v Mariboru, ki ga sestavljajo tri umetniške enote Drama, Opera in Balet, s svojo umetniško ustvarjalnostjo vse od nastanka leta 1919 opravlja neprecenljivo kulturnopolitično vlogo, razvija in ohranja slovensko nacionalno in kulturno identiteto ter nastopa kot pomemben branik slovenskega jezikovnega prostora. Iz gledališča, ki je prvotno imelo lokalni pomen, je v stotih letih nastalo središče gledališke umetnosti z vseslovenskim in mednarodnim pomenom, kar potrjujejo številna mednarodna gostovanja in mednarodna priznanja ter nagrade. Otvoritvena predstava slovenskega poklicnega gledališča v Mariboru je bila 27. septembra 1919 (kar praznujemo kot rojstni dan gledališča). The Slovenian National Theatre in Maribor, composed of three performing arts units Drama, Opera and Ballet has performed an invaluable cultural and political role through its artistic creativity ever since its founding in 1919, and has developed and maintained the Slovenian national and cultural identity, along with performing arts, as an outstanding guardian of the Slovenian language area. In a hundred years, out of a theatre which originally had local importance grew a centre for theatre arts of Slovenia-wide and international importance, as confirmed by the numerous guest appearances of international performers and international awards and prizes. The opening performance of the Slovenian professional theatre in Maribor was on 27 September 1919 (which we celebrate as the birthday of the theatre). They staged the drama Tugomer by Josip Jurčič, which was directed by the first SNG director, Hinko Nučič. The first opera production came at the end of the first season, with a staging of Hervé s Mam zelle Nitouche (1 May 1920), and the first independent ballet production, Delibes Coppelia (24 February 1951) came only after the Second World War. In its hundred-year history, SNG Maribor has performed 1,649 premiere productions (1,028 dramas, 502 operas and 119 ballets). Today SNG Maribor stages around 14 premieres a year, and has a combined repertoire of around 500 different productions and shows, which are seen by around 200,000 people. 14 ŽIVALSTVO RJAVI MEDVED / FAUNA BROWN BEAR / FAUNA BRAUNBÄR Rjavi medved Rjavi medved je pomemben del naravne in kulturne dediščine tako v Sloveniji kot tudi drugod po Evropi. V večjem delu srednje in južne Evrope je bil sicer konec 19. stoletja močno zdesetkan, na nekaterih območjih pa celo iztrebljen. Slovenski medvedi so del velike populacije, ki zajema območje od Vzhodnih Alp v severovzhodni Italiji do gorovja Pindos v Grčiji. In the greater part of central and southern Europe it was seriously decimated at the end of the 19th century, in some areas even being exterminated. Slovenian bears are part of a large population covering the area from the Eastern Alps in northeastern Italy to the Pindus mountains in Greece. Bears are solitary animals. Like the majority of other large predators, bears have a large home range. Females establish their home range next to that of their mother, while males move away and find their own space in remote areas. Bears are omnivores. The major part of a bear s diet is of plant origin. From spring right through to late autumn they enthusiastically feed on grass, meanwhile ingesting the fruits of forest plants such as dogwood, hazel, strawberry, blueberry and raspberry. In the autumn, when they are fattening up for the winter, an important part of their diet is made up of beech nuts, acorns, chestnuts, hazelnuts, walnuts and fruits pears, apples and plums. Their protein-rich food is provided mainly by insects and their larvae, and carrion. In winter they are dormant, but this is not a deep hibernation as is the case with dormice. Their body temperature drops down to just 2 C, and their heartbeat and metabolism also slow down. The bear s hibernation is actually just a special form of fasting and conserving energy. Some bears of the more southerly European populations can be active all year. Braunbär Der Braunbär ist ein wichtiger Teil des Natur- und Kulturerbes in Slowenien und in anderen Ländern Europas. Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts war deren Anzahl in den meisten Teilen Mittel- und Südeuropas stark dezimiert, in einigen Gebieten waren sie sogar ausgerottet. Die slowenischen Bären sind Teil einer großen Population, die Gebiete von den Ostalpen in Nordostitalien bis zum Pindosgebirge in Griechenland umfasst. Bären sind Einzelgänger. Wie die meisten anderen Großraubtiere haben auch Bären große heimische Reviere. Die Weibchen schaffen sich ihr Revier neben dem Revier der Bärenmutter, während die Männchen weit weggehen und ihr eigenes Revier in entfernten Gebieten suchen. Die Braunbären sind Allesfresser. Der Großteil ihrer Ernährung ist pflanzlichen Ursprungs. Vom Frühjahr bis in den Spätherbst fressen sie gerne Gras und Früchte von Waldpflanzen, wie beispielsweise Hartriegel, Gemeine Hasel, Erdbeeren, Heidelbeeren und Himbeeren. Im Herbst, wenn der Fettvorrat für den Winterschlaf angelegt wird, sind Bucheckern, Eicheln, Kastanien, Haselnüsse, Walnüsse und Obst wie Birnen, Äpfel und Pflaumen, ein wichtiger Bestandteil ihrer Ernährung. Eiweißreiche Nahrung sind vor allem Insekten und deren Larven sowie Aas. Im Winter halten die Bären Winterruhe, doch ist es kein tiefer Winterschlaf wie bei den Schlafmäusen. Die Körpertemperatur verringert sich nur um bis zu 2 C, während sich ihr Herzschlag und Stoffwechsel verlangsamen. Der Winterschlaf der Bären ist eigentlich nur eine besondere Form des Hungerns bzw. der Einsparung von Energie. Einige Bären der südeuropäischen Populationen sind sogar das ganze Jahr hindurch aktiv. Medvedi so samotarske živali. Kot večina drugih velikih zveri imajo tudi medvedi velike domače okoliše. Samice svoj domači okoliš vzpostavijo ob materinem, samci pa se odselijo in iščejo lasten prostor v oddaljenih območjih. Medved je vsejed. 15 ŽIVALSTVO RJAVI MEDVED / FAUNA BROWN BEAR / FAUNA BRAUNBÄR Spomladi pa vse do pozne jeseni se zelo rad hrani s travo in uživa plodove gozdnih rastlin, kot so dren, leska, jagode, borovnice in maline. V jeseni, ko si nabira tolščo za prezimovanje, so pomemben del prehrane žir, želod, kostanj, lešniki, orehi in sadje: hruške, jabolka in slive. Beljakovinsko bogato hrano pa predstavljajo predvsem žuželke ter njihove ličinke in mrhovina. Pozimi miruje, vendar to ni globoko zimsko spanje, kot ga poznamo pri polhih. Telesna temperatura se zniža le do 2 C, upočasni pa se tudi srčni utrip in presnova. Medvedovo»zimsko spanje«je dejansko le posebna oblika stradanja oziroma varčevanja z energijo. Nekateri medvedi južnejših evropskih populacij so lahko aktivni tudi celo leto. Za medveda je značilna dolga življenjska doba. Najstarejša evidentirana medvedka v Sloveniji je bila stara 21 let. Samice spolno dozorijo med tretjim in petim letom, mladiče pa kotijo vsako drugo ali tretje leto. Parjenje poteka od sredine maja do zgodnjega julija. Januarja ali februarja v brlogu skotijo enega do štiri nebogljene mladiče, ki tehtajo okoli pol kilograma. Mladiči se osamosvojijo, ko so stari približno dve leti. Na širšem območju Dinarskega gorstva so se medvedi ohranili zaradi ustreznega življenjskega okolja širnih, strnjenih gozdov na razgibanem in nepreglednem terenu visokega krasa, predvsem pa zaradi naklonjenosti tamkajšnjih ljudi do obstoja te vrste. Kot najzahodnejši del dinarskopindske populacije slovenski medvedi predstavljajo pomemben vir za naravno ponovno poselitev alpskega prostora sosednjih držav. Doc. dr. The oldest recorded bear in Slovenia, a female, was 21 years old. Females become sexually mature at between three and five years of age, and produce a litter every second or third year. Mating takes place from the middle of May to early July. In January or February within the den the female will give birth to one to four helpless cubs, which weigh around half a kilo. The cubs become independent when they are about two years old. In the wider area of the Dinaric Alps, bears have survived due to the appropriate habitat expansive, dense forests on the hilly and impenetrable terrain of the high Karst and especially due to the favourable disposition of local people to the existence of the species. As the westernmost part of the Dinaric-Pindus population, Slovenian bears represent an important resource for the natural resettling of the Alpine areas of neighbouring countries. Asst. Prof. Dr Hubert Potočnik Die Bären haben eine hohe Lebenserwartung. Die älteste erfasste Bärin in Slowenien war 21 Jahre alt. Die Weibchen werden zwischen dem dritten und fünften Lebensjahr geschlechtsreif und bekommen alle zwei oder drei Jahre Jungen. Die Paarungszeit dauert von Mitte Mai bis Anfang Juli. Im Januar oder Februar bringen die Weibchen dann in ihrem Bau ein bis vier hilflose Jungen zur Welt, die um ein halbes Kilogramm wiegen. Die Bärenjungen werden selbstständig, wenn sie etwa zwei Jahre alt sind. Im weiten Gebiet des Dinarischen Gebirges konnten sich die Bären erhalten dank der geeigneten Lebensbedingungen weitläufigen dichten Wäldern im dynamischen und unübersichtlichen Gelände des Hochkarstes, vor allem aber dank dem Wohlwollen der dortigen Einwohner für den Bestand dieser Art. Als westlichster Teil der Dinariden-Pindos- Population stellen die slowenischen Bären eine bedeutende Basis für die natürliche Ansiedelung in den Alpenraum der Nachbarländer dar. Doz. 16 100-LETNICA GIMNAZIJE MURSKA SOBOTA / 100 YEARS OF MURSKA SOBOTA GRAMMAR SCHOOL / 100 JAHRE GYMNASIUM MURSKA SOBOTA 100-letnica Gimnazije Murska Sobota Gimnazija Murska Sobota je začela delovati v letu 1919, slaba dva meseca zatem, ko je bilo Prekmurje pridruženo Slovenji. Zgodovinsko gledano se je vse, kar se dogajalo po svetu v določenem časovnem obdobju, odražalo do neke mere tudi v Prekmurju. Ko so bila po svetu prisotna trenja zaradi verske pripadnosti, je to pomenilo za Prekmurje delitev na področja, kjer so bili večinsko naseljeni prebivalci določene vere, in celo spopade med njimi. Ko so potekale svetovne vojne, se je dogajalo, da so se Prekmurci vojskovali v raznih vojskah. Vsak političnogospodarski sistem države, v katero je spadalo Prekmurje, je imel v Prekmurju svoje goreče podpornike in zagrizene nasprotnike. Današnji čas Evropske unije deli Prekmurce glede razvojno-gospodarskih in zaposlitvenih možnosti ter vrednostne primerjave med domačim in sosednjimi okolji. Ob stoletnici prelomnih dogodkov je namen izdaje priložnostne znamke tudi ta, da se predvsem pri Prekmurcih obnovi zavedanje, da je možno pravilno državotvorno dojemanje in vrednotenje dogajanj v svetu in doma v povezavi z Gimnazijo Murska Sobota, ki vzgaja in izobražuje najsposobnejše in najambicioznejše prekmurske mladostnike v slovenskem svetovljanskem duhu. In historical terms, everything that happened around the world in a particular period was reflected to some degree in Prekmurje. When there was friction in the world owing to religious affiliation, for Prekmurje this meant a division into areas where the majority of the settled population was of a particular faith, and even clashes between them. When there were world wars, the people of Prekmurje fought in different armies. Every political and economic system of government to which Prekmurje belonged had its local ardent supporters and fervent opponents. The present time in the European Union divides up the people of Prekmurje in terms of their developmental, economic and employment prospects and in terms of value comparisons between local and neighbouring areas. On the centenary of momentous events, the purpose of issuing a special stamp is to reawaken an awareness, particularly among the people of Prekmurje, that a true grasp of the nation-building developments and an assessment of events in the world and at home can be found in connection with Murska Sobota Grammar School, which nurtures and educates the most gifted and ambitious young people of Prekmurje in the Slovenian cosmopolitan spirit. This awareness had already matured 100 years ago. Murska Sobota Grammar School Principal Roman Činč 100 Jahre Gymnasium Murska Sobota Das Gymnasium Murska Sobota begann seine Tätigkeit im Jahr 1919, knapp zwei Monate nach dem Anschluss von Prekmurje an Slowenien. Historisch gesehen spiegelten sich alle Ereignisse, die in einem bestimmten Zeitraum in der Welt geschahen, bis zu einem gewissen Grad in der Region Prekmurje wider. Als es in der Welt Spannungen wegen religiöser Überzeugungen gab, bedeutete dies für Prekmurje die Trennung in Gebiete, die mehrheitlich von Einwohnern einer bestimmten Religion besiedelt wurden und wo es sogar Kämpfe zwischen den einzelnen Bevölkerungsgruppen gab. Während der beiden Weltkriege kämpften die Einwohner von Prekmurje in verschiedenen Armeen. Jedes politische und wirtschaftliche System des Staates, zu dem Prekmurje gehörte, hatte in der Region seine glühenden Fürsprecher und erbitterten Gegner. In der heutigen Europäischen Union ist Prekmurje hinsichtlich der wirtschaftlichen Entwicklungs- und Beschäftigungsmöglichkeiten sowie dem Wertevergleich zwischen der heimischen Umwelt und den Nachbarregionen unterteilt. Zum Jubiläum der Umbruchsereignisse ist es auch das Ziel der Ausgabe der Sondermarke, vor allem bei den Einwohnern von Prekmurje das Bewusstsein daran zu erneuern, dass ein richtiges staatsbildendes Wahrnehmen und Beurteilen von Ereignissen in der Welt und daheim in Verbindung mit dem Gymnasium Murska Sobota, welches die fähigsten und ehrgeizigsten Jugendlichen im slowenischen weltbürgerlichen Geist erzieht und bildet, möglich ist. 17 50-LETNICA MORSKE BIOLOŠKE POSTAJE PIRAN / 50 th ANNIVERSARY OF THE PIRAN MARINE BIOLOGY STATION / 50 JAHRE MEERESBIOLOGISCHE STATION PIRAN 50-letnica Morske biološke postaje Piran 10. oktobra 2019 bomo v Avditoriju Portorož proslavili 50-letnico Morske biološke postaje Piran (MBP) Nacionalnega inštituta za biologijo. Poslanstvo edine slovenske raziskovalne enote, ki se ukvarja izključno z raziskavami morskih ekosistemov, je ustvarjanje vrhunskega znanja za razumevanje procesov in sprememb v morju. MBP je bila ustanovljena leta 1969 kot samostojna enota Inštituta za biologijo Univerze v Ljubljani. Veliko zaslug za njeno ustanovitev imata prof. dr. Franc Sušnik in prof. dr. Jože Štirn. Sedež prve postaje je bil v vili na Sončni poti v Portorožu. V letih pa smo se selili v novozgrajeno stavbo s čudovitim pogledom na Piranski zaliv. Prve raziskave so obsegale popise favnističnih in florističnih posebnosti slovenskega morja. Skozi desetletja so se področja raziskav na MBP širila glede na poklicno strukturo zaposlenih ter potrebe domače in mednarodne strokovne javnosti. Zanimivo je, da so ostale raziskave biodiverzitete osrednji steber naše dejavnosti vse do danes in so vključene v mnoge temeljne in aplikativne projekte. 50 let je dolgo obdobje, ko se z nostalgijo obračamo nazaj, vendar so rezultati dela, naša zagnanost in vztrajnost zagotovilo, da bo naša vizija ostala stalnica: MBP je mednarodno priznana, na nacionalnem nivoju vodilna raziskovalna skupina, ki razvija partnerstvo z akademskimi in vladnimi institucijami, z industrijo ter drugimi uporabniki. The mission of the only Slovenian research unit to focus exclusively on marine ecosystems is to create superlative knowledge to understand the processes and changes in the sea. MBP was founded in 1969 as an independent unit of the Institute of Biology at the University of Ljubljana. Major credit for its establishment goes to Prof. Dr Franc Sušnik and Prof. Dr Jože Štirn. The first station was based at a villa on Sončna pot street in Portorož. Then in we moved to newly built premises with a wonderful view of Piran Bay. The first research covered censuses of fauna and flora peculiarities of the Slovenian sea. Over the decades, the fields of research at MBP expanded relative to the professional structure of the staff and the requirements of domestic and international expert circles. It is interesting to note that research of biodiversity has remained the central pillar of our activity right up to the present day, and it has been included in many basic and applied projects. Fifty years is a long time, and we may look back with nostalgia, but the results of our work, our drive and perseverance are a guarantee that our vision will remain constant: MBP is an internationally recognised and nationally leading research group that is developing partnership with academic and government institutions, with industry and other users. Oktober 2019 findet im Auditorium Portorož die Feier anlässlich des 50-jährigen Jubiläums der Meeresbiologischen Station Piran (MBP) des Nationalen Instituts für Biologie statt. Die Mission der einzigen slowenischen Forschungseinheit, die sich ausschließlich mit dem Erforschen von Meeresökosystemen befasst, ist die Schaffung von hochmodernen Spitzenkenntnissen zum Verstehen der Prozesse und Veränderungen im Meer. Die MBP wurde 1969 als eigenständige Einheit des Instituts für Biologie der Universität Ljubljana ins Leben gerufen. Große Verdienste bei deren Gründung haben Prof. Dr. Franc Sušnik und Prof. Dr. Jože Štirn. Der Sitz der ersten Station war in einer Villa in der Straße Sončna pot in Portorož. In den Jahren ist sie in einen Neubau mit wunderschönem Ausblick auf die Bucht von Piran umgezogen. Die ersten Forschungen umfassten die Erfassung der faunistischen und floristischen Besonderheiten des slowenischen Meeres. Durch die Jahrzehnte hindurch erweiterten sich die Forschungsgebiete der MBP im Hinblick auf die Berufsstruktur der Angestellten und die Bedürfnisse der heimischen und internationalen Fachöffentlichkeit. Interessant ist, dass die Erforschungen der Biodiversität bis heute der Hauptpfeiler der Tätigkeit der Station geblieben sind und in viele grundlegende und anwendbare Projekte einbezogen worden sind. 50 Jahre sind eine lange Zeit und ein Augenblick, an dem wir mit Nostalgie zurückblicken, doch sind die Ergebnisse unserer Arbeit, unser eifriges Engagement und unsere Beharrlichkeit eine Garantie dafür, dass unsere Vision MBP ist eine international anerkannte, auf nationaler Ebene führende Forschungsgruppe, die Partnerschaften mit akademischen Einrichtungen und Regierungsinstitutionen, mit der Industrie und anderen Anwendern entwickelt eine Konstante bleiben wird. Die Briefmarke erscheint im Bogen zu je 25 Briefmarken mit einem Nennwert von 0,58. Auch die Serie Gastronomie wird fortgesetzt. Zwei neue Briefmarken laden zum Verkosten von Spezialitäten der Regionen Notranjska und Karst ein. Die Briefmarken haben einen Nennwert von 1,17 und erscheinen in Bögen mit 16 Marken. Im Block erscheint in der Reihe Bauernhäuser in Slowenien eine Briefmarke mit dem Motiv des Nace-Hauses, das im Dorf Puštal in der Gemeinde Škofja Loka steht.
